Just a reminder that Daylight Savings Time will start March 8th at 2:00 am. That means that you need to remember to set your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed this Saturday. And you might need an alarm—I know I will!

Once again, we’re calling a snow day. As reluctant as I am to do so, I simply had to ask, “What’s the wise thing to do?” Given the official Winter Storm Warning, the choice was (relatively) easy. Many people with whom I’ve spoken this morning haven’t even seen plows yet.

This Sunday was our scheduled Kid Connection service. The plan at this point is to move Kid Connection to next week and then continue our series “Foolproof” the week after.

I held out all night but as of 6:30am the weather forecasts have only gotten worst. Enjoy your Beacon snow day! We seem to have one of these just about every year. Last year, we had to call off service even earlier in the year. Especially with today’s service being a Kid Connection, there are so many individuals who are absolutely necessary for service. Hope to see you Christmas Eve!

Beacon begins meeting for its Sunday services at a new time: 10:30 am!

We begin out new meeting time this Sunday! With the move from 10:00 am to 10:30 am, Beacon also be starting some new morning activities in the hour before. Stay tuned for more information in the coming months!

DON’T FORGET our quarterly CORE meeting is this Sunday as well! If you are a member of Beacon Community Church, don’t miss this opportunity to be involved in the life of your church. The CORE meeting will be from 12:30 - 2:30p.
